There are many causes of this problem, including inadequate care, genetic predispositions, external factors, certain medicines, etc. The first clinical symptom of dilated blood vessels is a flare, so-called erythema. It disappears initially but after some time it takes root and stays for good.
Some blood vessels are too fragile to withstand blood pressure. Next, they dilate and become visible. As a result, permanent and perceptible changes occur in the form of networks of tiny red “spider veins” commonly referred to as telangiectasia. The tiny “spider veins” usually appear on the face, neck, legs and cleavage. They can be light red, maroon or even dark violet.
Equally common problems, apart from telangiectasias, are caused by angiomas (hemangioma). Dilated blood vessels pose a large aesthetic problem, especially if they are located on your face. Adequate care of such skin is very important in limiting new vascular changes. As for the existing dilated vessels, very good results are obtained using laser techniques.

is a high-tech laser system. It removes broken blood vessels of different diameter, up to 4 mm, giving wider opportunities for treating. Gemini laser technology uses two waves. One wave is 532 nm long and the other is 1064 nm long. That's why it affects different types of vessels which are of different colour and are placed at different depths.
The laser features an additional system for cooling the laser head, which provides comfort during the treatment. In most cases it's painless and doesn't burn the skin, which is its biggest advantage. The treatments may be performed on most skin types, even on a tanned skin.

Laser vein removal using this system (photorejuvenation) emits an incoherent intensive pulsing light (IPLTM) of low fluency which regenerates the skin without the need to separate tissue. This technique is effective for closing superficial and deeper, bigger vascular changes such as varices, venous networks and larger clusters of "spider veins”.
IPL directs a light beam of precisely defined parameters to the affected places, which allows to introduce changes to a given tissue. Light energy emitted by the IPL is absorbed by the red blood pigment (haemoglobin). As a result, a blood vessel is destroyed from the inside. In that way blood coagulates or evaporates. This is so-called controlled burn (selective photothermolysis). The destroyed blood vessel is automatically removed from the body.
One to three treatments performed within several months are necessary in order to remove dilated blood vessels. It depends on the number, colour, diameter and depth of blood vessels. If a vessel is big or the area of broken veins is large, this results in a bruise, reddening or oedema which disappear within a few hours or days.
